The Police museum is based in Newton Street police station, a Victorian building that is well preserved. Displays include uniforms and crime fighting equipment. Opening hours are limited to 10:30am to 3:30pm on Tuesdays.

The Gallery of Costume is located in an old Georgian house and contains a collection of fashions from the 17th century to the present day. Opening hours are limited to the last Saturday of each month unless a tour is booked in advance.
The Manchester Jewish Museum is located in a restored synagogue and charts the history of the Jewish community in the city from the 18th century.
