Manchester, MAN Historic Sites & Interpretive Centres

The park is noted as one of the largest municipal parks in Europe, spreading over 650 glorious acres of land. Gardens, ornamental ponds, a boating lake, even a golf course are within the park's boundaries. The well-known Heaton Park Horse Races are held here each year. Heaton Hall is an exquisite heritage home that is open to the public. The Cupola (Lady Egerton's dressing room) and the music room are of particular grandeur. The park is open all year, and the hall is open April until September.
